Top Toys For Christmas 2011
With toy shopping about to hit it's peak in the end of year holiday season, many
toy stores are putting out their top toys for Christmas 2011. This is basically their
list of the top toys for the year. It is often based on feedback from toy fairs or expos where the latest toys
are released. Or maybe it is just based on how well the particular items are selling at the moment. Anyhow,
this article will cover a few of the items predicted to be the top toys for Christmas 2011.
Lets start with the quirkiest of toys to come out in a long while. It called Doggie Doo and is a game you could
say about collecting dog poop. Sounds pretty bizarre but kids seem to love the irreverent nature of it. Adults can
get a chuckle out of it too unless they are parents of course. At a recent toy fair, the kids that saw it thought
it was hilarious but their parents said it would definitely not be on the Christmas shopping list. Time will tell.
It is a bit gimmicky I guess.
Another top toy is likely to be the hot wheel dune buggy. This is a modern looking two person buggy for kids.
It's power by an electric battery and looks like a little version of a vehicle you might use to ride around in at
the beach. It looks like great fun and is the latest from the Power Wheels factory. Power wheels make all sorts of
ride on car toys. Many are based on popular movies or toys that will interest children. The Cars movie is a point
in case – Lightning MacQueen has been turned into an electric ride on toy.
Fijit Friends are predicted to be a top toy, especially
for girls. These are little doll like characters. There are 4 separate characters that have different looks, color
and personalities. You can get Sage, Willa, Serafina and Logan. Each character is programmed to be unique but they
also do things in common like dance and sing.
A fun feature about the Fijit friends is that they talk to you or respond to your
comments. They seem to understand what you are saying and respond with an intelligent remark. This may get
tedious after a while as the toys are limited to what they can say and will no doubt start repeating the same
thing after a while. However, they look like fun and should provide some enjoyable fun and company for a few
months or so.
Plans are to develop them and all sorts of media like apps and youtube webisodes around them so no doubt the
toys themselves will develop. Hopefully you will be able to download new capabilities into the toys to make them
last longer.
A similar style of toy but aimed at younger children is the Elmo
Lets Rock toy. This is an Elmo doll that is programmed to play
and sing rock tunes. He can respond to touch and comments and is a little companion to children that love Sesame
street. Bring Elmo out of the TV and into your Child's bedroom.
These are just a few of the items listed to be Top Toys For Christmas 2011. Of course, your kids will have their
own views on what toys are top of the wish list. Hopefully you will find that this site will give you some
inspiration for which toys to get and explain how they work. Go to the home page - Christmas
toys for kids to see a full list of toys on offer.
