 Real Steel Figures – Join The Action With Your Own
Real Steel Robots.
Real Steel figures are toy figurines of the Fighting Robots from the Real Steel movie.
You can get all the robots and various play sets that feature fighting rings and training gyms for the robots. They
are a great Christmas toy for kids that loved the recent movie and could even be a great
collectible item in the future.

The Real Steel movie is a recent release (late 2011) which is set in a future time when human to human fighting
has been banned because it is considered too dangerous. Special fighting robots have been created to fill the gap
for many disgruntled fight fans and illegal fights take place. These robots and their owners compete against each
other for money and even to be crowned as an unofficial champion.
Into this scenario comes an ex boxer called Charlie Kenton (played by Hugh Jackman). He gets an old robot and
fixes it up to fight some of the heavy hitters. There is various big fights and intrigue as greedy people with
bigger robots aim to destroy Charlie and his robot. Within this storyline, Charlie has to win the love and respect
of his estranged son Max and develops a relationship with Bailey the daughter of his ex-coach. There's lots of big
fights and various types of robots with differing strengths and powers. These are the inspiration for the Real
Steel Action figures.

 You can get all the main fighting robots that
featured in the movie. At this stage, you can only get the one size of figurine – 7.5 to 8.5 inches tall. Each
figure is a fairly accurate representation of the robots in the movie. They have articulated limbs – legs and
arms – and you can also swivel the head.
Each character has it's own special “move” or punch that it is famous for. This is spring loaded so that you can
set up fighting sequences and let the robots go at it for real. Can Atom land the knock punch on Zeus ?
You can get Noisey boy, Charlies first robot. You can also get the two main robots that feature in the climatic
final fight – Atom and Zeus. And there are a few others, like the Twin cities robot that has two heads and Metro,
the underground people's champion.
You can also get play sets that feature a boxing ring with lights and sound. Part of the playset is two robots
so that you can recreate the action out of the box. This is a great way to get started with your Real Steel action
figures. And if you are a real fan, you'll want to get all the robots and pit them against each other in your own
competitions. You can get 6 packs which feature all the robots together.
These are reasonably priced toys that would probably appeal to boys between 6-10 years of age. They would be a
fairly topical Christmas gift idea too as the movie has just come out.
