More on the KidKraft Majestic Dollhouse
As already mentioned the KidKraft Majestic Dollhouse is big. It stands around four and a half feet high
and four feet wide. It has 8 rooms and a few other nifty little features. For instance, there is a stair case and a
lift. The lift goes from the ground floor to the second and third floors.
The ground floor consists of a kitchen and separate dining room. There is also a garage which has closing doors.
No car comes with the doll house so that is something that you would have to buy with time.
The kitchen and dining rooms come with heaps of furniture that you would expect to see in these rooms. So a
dining table and chairs, kitchen cabinets and even an ironing board in the kitchen.
The next floor features the main living room and is basically at the center of the construction. This is where
the doll families will spend most of there time so it makes sense to have it in the middle. The living room is
split by the staircase. On one side is the living area and comes with a chaise lounge and a few other items of
furniture. There is a basket for the house cat to lie in too. The cat comes with the house.
On the other side of the living area is the music space. This includes a grand piano and seat.
There is a sun room off to the side of the living area, which also has a lounger for the dolls to relax on.

The third floor is the main bedroom and a bathroom off to the side (En suite perhaps ?). Like the rest of the
house, these rooms come fully furnished with bright colorful pieces of furniture. The bedroom has a red bed,
dressing table and side table. The bathroom also has modern looking fittings, including a lovely purple colored
bath and toilet.
The final room is the attic that is the baby's room. Many younger children can't reach this room, so they kind
of grow into the house, just like their imaginary doll families might do.
The nice thing about the dollhouse and the furniture is that you can move it around – so turn the sun room into
the ironing room, make the main bedroom in the attic. Another nice feature of the house is the detail painted into
the background of the rooms. This give the rooms a sense of depth and even space and allows your children's
imagination to come to life.

The interesting thing about this doll house is that you don't need specific dolls for the house.
Apparently any doll up to around 12 inches height can fit into the house. Even the odd action figure might spend a
bit of time in the salubrious location.
So this means the doll house will actually grow with the children's interests. So one year the Calico critters
(or at least one of the families...or even a few) might move in. When your child moves on from the critters them
maybe the Twilight action figures can move in. finally, Barbie might make the place her home.
With this said, most people will start off with the Kidcraft family doll sets. These are 5 inch tall dolls and
consist of a complete family of dolls. So you get Mom and Dad, Gran and Grandad and three siblings. The three
siblings are a boy, a girl and a baby. So all the ages are covered and can facilitate all sorts of imaginative play
for little girls.
Looking at the video of the house it looks more suitable in terms of size for a Barbie doll than say the smaller
kidcraft dolls that are often recommended. I would think the the house would look a bit big for the Kidcraft
families but you never know.
