Star Wars Clone Trooper Voice Changer Helmet
Anyone that loves the Stars Wars movies, the Clone Wars TV shows, books and cartoons, the chance to get more
involved in the action has come with the release of the Star Wars Clone Trooper Voice Changer
Helmet. It can make an ideal Christmas toy for kids this holiday season. The
clone trooper helmet is the head gear worn by the Republican clone army in their many campaigns and skirmished
throughout the Stars Wars Galaxies. Clone troopers were created as clones of the mercenary/bounty hunter Jango
Fett. They were identical to Fett in every way. Since he was a skilled fighter, it was decided that he would make
an ideal building block to create a huge army. The clone army was then used to enforce the political will of the
Republic, and later on, Emperor Palpatine.
Background to the Clone Wars
Many planets wanted to secede from the republic, particularly those on the outer rim, because they dislike the
trade conditions that they had to abide by. This lead to great instability in the star system. Jedi Knights would
be used to keep the peace through a sliding scale of diplomacy through to force. However this was not adequate or
acceptable to the Republic.
As more sporadic outbreaks occurred throughout the galaxy, it became known as the clone wars. Many storm
troopers were used in battles. These battles and the intrigue surrounding the clones wars are detailed in the major
Star Wars movies and the TV series and movie length cartoons. They are even featured in many of the books and comic
strips released too.
Clone Trooper Helmet Details
Since everyone was so interested in the clone wars series, a clone trooper helmet was created so that kids could
pretend to be involved in the action. They could role play in famous battles like the Battle of Geonosis or the
Battle of Utapau against fiendish villains like Count Dooku.
In fact there are a few different varieties of clone trooper helmet.
The standard issue is the plain white helmet that features in most of the Star Wars movies, including the first
movies which had Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and the original characters (Although it is slightly different to these
helmets as this period was after the actual clone wars.)
The voice changing helmet has realistic details, such as the tinted visor, a crested top, and clone-inspired
colors. It is made of a durable plastic which is hardy and will hold out to all the bumps and knocks that a child
can inflict on it. There are three buttons on the right side of the helmet. These set off 5 different phrases taken
from the Clone Wars TV show. A button that issues radio static keeps communication interesting, and commands like
“Cover Me!†and “All units fire at will!†add a quick adrenaline rush to any battle. Added to these is a
voice-modulator microphone so that the wearer can issue his/her own statements and commands in the clone voice.
The helmets are recommended for Children 4-8 years old but of course many older kids and even adults will be
taken by the helmet. On young children, the helmet looks too big but it is not that heavy and as the kid cab't see
himself then it is unlikely he will be too bothered about it.
It requires 3 AA batteries to power the voice modulator and microphone. These batteries are included with the
helmet. The helmet can adjust to fit most head sizes. There are fully adjustable straps too. It’s dimensions are
10 x 10.8 x 12 inches and it weighs 3.3 pounds. The toy is made by Hasbro.
The variations on the original helmet pertain to characters or incidents in the Clone Wars TV shows. So you
have Captain Rex Helmet. There is also the 501st Legion Clone Trooper. These helmets are slightly different from
the original helmet in the styling. For instance the Captain Rex helmet has a red trim. The 501st has blue trim.
These helmets make an ideal gift of present at Christmas for anyone interested in the Star Wars mythology. You can
also get gift sets that include the helmet and a blaster so that the wearer has everything they need to start
battling in their very own scenes from the Clone wars.
